Submission Information

Submission Information:

We seek work of the highest literary quality, from satire to serious. Our only restriction is that all prose should have some underlying community theme. It need not be overt; for example, a story about a pack of dogs or a family of humans would meet our criteria. 

We accept short stories and articles 4000 words, book reviews to 1000 words, and poems of any length. We prefer electronic submissions, but also accept printed manuscripts. We don’t care what kind of printer you have so long as we can read your manuscript. We report on submissions within two months. Submissions can be physically mailed to the address below or can be sent to our email address at: thescentedflower@outlook.com . Include a SASE if you expect a written reply. Electronic submissions should be typed in plain text in the body of the email or included as an attachment using a commonly accepted format, like Microsoft Word or a .PDF

A cover letter in optional. We judge each piece of writing on its own merit. 

All submissions must be original and unpublished. We retain one-time rights. All rights revert to the author upon publication.
